Public welcome! Cocktail hour will begin at 7 PM, with readings and book signings to follow at 7:30 PM.

One Size Fits None by Stephanie Anderson, Goldens Are Here by Andrew Furman, and loudmouth by Flose Boursiquot will be available for purchase and author signings. The evening will also feature door prizes and complimentary snacks. Craft beer from Due South Brewing Co. and food from Savory Eats Kitchen will be available for purchase.

Flose Boursiquot and Andrew Furman

Flose Boursiquot is a Haitian-born writer, spoken-word artist, and political brain. Flose has two published works: Close Your Eyes, Now Breathe (2017) and loudmouth (2018)Flose's work has appeared in the Huffington Post, on Blavity, in the Delray Newspaper, and in Foliate Oak Literary Magazine. In 2017, BET named Flose one of its millennial poets to watch and she has recently featured on the Malala Foundation's Assembly Platform and her poem "It's we" has been selected to appear in A Garden Of Black Joy: Global Poetry From The Edges of Liberation & Living! Both of her collections can be found on Amazon, in select Barnes and Noble stores, and at local South Florida Bookstores: The Book Cellar in Lake Worth and Poetic Justice Books & Arts in Port St. Lucie.

Andrew Furman is a professor of English at Florida Atlantic University and teaches in its MFA program in creative writing. His fiction and creative nonfiction frequently engage with the Florida outdoors, but he has also written about Jewish identity, basketball, lighthouses, swimming, and cast iron cookware. His essays and stories have appeared in such publications as Oxford American, The Southern Review, Ecotone, The Wall Street Journal, Poets & Writers, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Agni Online, Terrain.org, and The Florida Review. He is the author, most recently, of the novel Goldens Are Here (Green Writers Press, 2018) and the memoir Bitten: My Unexpected Love Affair with Florida (University Press of Florida, 2014), which was named a finalist for the ASLE Environmental Book Award. He lives in south Florida with his family.
